This is a print I made VCA in Richmond in 2014. I’m donating it for this political event to raise money for voting. The piece conceptually is about time and particularly about my time in space. It’s inherently a political piece because to be in the space of time in this place is to be political. To take up space living on this planet is political. To vote, to not vote, the way one lives in this complicated space of coexisting. I’m surprised this country has lasted as long as it has. The United States story starts with stolen land and it has kept a steady hum of greed and selfishness from then on. Both of these parties are run by the rich people. I am voting with civil rights, environmental concerns, big business accountability, regulation, and imperialism in mind.
